Settling in marlborough they planted their vineyard by hand creating their own wines under the bladen name. This wine is particularly well suited to seafood dishes poultry dishes or summer salads. With this comes a real hand crafted element to bladen wines with almost every grape being scrutinised before being allowed into the final wine production. We let the fruit undergo a wild fermentation and after 15 days on skins the wine was pressed off and racked to french oak barriques 20 new where it remained on lees for 16 months.
